"Super Robot Wars" is a simulation RPG with various types of robots crossing-over from different anime titles to fight against common enemies. More than 90 titles (including the best version) have been released to date. In 2016, the 25th anniversary of this series was localized for Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong and the Southeast Asia region. In the upcoming Super Robot Wars X, fans will see improvements in the quality of the game system and graphics, with a new world view and story.
Extensive Title Line-up
In addition to titles like Aura Battler Dunbine, Mobile Suit Gundam F91, and Mazinkaiser that appear occasionally in this series, titles that surpass the mecha genre like Mashin Hero Wataru, Buddy Complex, Gundam Reconguista in G, and Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water also make an appearance.
High-Resolution Graphics for Breathtaking Battle Scenes
Battle scenes with high-quality graphics and detailed movement are rendered by utilizing an improved processor. On top of the highly popular battle cut-scene animations seen in the previous Super Robot Wars V, this series will feature pilot cut-scenes for some characters. Character animations are also rendered naturally and dynamically.

Basically if you enjoyed SRW V you'll likely enjoy SRW X. It's changed things up to be more about magical fantasy than apocalyptic timelines and uses the same engine/systems as SRW V. Some things have obviously changed like the previous TAC system built around Nine, and obviously there are quite a few different series while a good chunk of them return (some being expanded or explored in different ways, i.e. the Mazinger series). So if you're a fan of Gundam Wing or Gurren Lagann, awesome. If you wish Getter Robo were still around, well... at least Mazinkaiser is back and more awesome than ever.
Getting the Day One DLC to work is of course a hassle, even moreso on the Vita, but all-in-all it's a great entry in the series and of course gets a huge bonus for being another English-translated game. While the translations aren't 100% perfect (and in particular it looks like all words with ' in them, i.e. "I'm" get spaced out to be more like "I' m"), it's still great to have them.
Definitely recommend for any fans of SRW or tactical RPGs in general.
About on par with Super Robot Wars V. Localization leaves a little to be desired, but otherwise a good entry to the series!
If you loved Super Robot Wars V, it’s more of the same, which isn’t a bad thing at all! Let’s hope Bandai Nampo keeps em coming in the vita! I can’t rate praise this game enough. The attack animations are amazing, and there are tons of customizations to keep you playing for a looong time!
