Ray Gigant is a new dungeon RPG from Bandai Namco that takes place in the year 20XX where every city in the world us overwhelmed by giant monsters called 'Gigants'.
With no signs of victory military resistance has been a wasted effort. That is until one boy named Ichiya Amakaze in Tokyo is able to defeat a Gigant with the help of a 'Yorigami,' incredibly intelligent beings that are able to unite with humans and act as a weapon and hold a conversation.
Each of the three protagonists Ichiya, Kyle, and Nil have their own Yorigami that specializes in Short distance, Middle distance, and Long distance respectively, as well as their own chapter in the game told from their perspective in their home city. Each chapter's protagonist will also be accompanied by two different comrades.
The Gigants themselves are each designed after an ancient god beast, and range in size from collosal bosses to the weak and feeble. They are really aliens that have invading Earth with the intention of eradicating all human life.
The different battle distances will have a direct effect on your viewpoint during battle, with the types of attacks from each distance being very straightforward. Short distance fighters specializes in melee and physical attacks with swords and axes. Middle distance fighters are out of the range of monsters physical attacks and use mid-range attacks as well as assist comrades fighting from a Short distance. Long distance fighters are the furthest away and use long-range attacks as well as assist both Middle and Short distance fighters.

Rogue like goodness!!!
I like it, it is a good DRPG game.
This game is really fun! Can't fully understand the story because my japanese isn't that good, but I still had a blast playing it.
This game starts off with an unexpected character portrayal in battles. The design is great. Can't stop playing since 2am 2 days ago. I will add to my review on a later date.
